Decision rules to freeze in v0.1 · §18

These rules are constitutional. Pipelines do not vote them away.

Addendum v0.9 is explicit: consensus across models does not eliminate governance. A unanimous ensemble can still be blocked by a hard rule, stale evidence, or an authorized human override.

  1. Human-authorized recalibration always controls the live operation.
  2. No recommendation may erase the recommendation or state that preceded it.
  3. Route drift is expected and causes rebasing, not automatic failure scoring.
  4. Existing bookings have precedence; displacement must be justified and auditable.
  5. Geography/fuel matters but is never the final factor.
  6. Technician revenue is not equivalent to technician skill.
  7. Skill must be normalized for call difficulty, access, runtime, opportunity mix, and customer context.
  8. Inside-30-day return visits are reviewed, not automatically charged as callbacks.
  9. Previously quoted and declined work must be separated from technician fault.
  10. Media can support a concern but cannot alone prove misconduct or diagnostic failure.
  11. Unknown warranty status is never silently converted to not-covered.
  12. Exploration opportunities are necessary to prevent historical dispatch patterns from poisoning capability estimates.
  13. Output and performance remain separate metrics.
  14. Trades-Runtime must be able to explain material decisions with receipts.
  15. Actual real-world state always becomes the starting point for the next decision.

v0.2 software invariants

  1. Recognition is quality-gated and must not reward raw revenue alone.
  2. A locked pricebook, part, or stock recommendation cannot be auto-superseded.
  3. Lunar / Earth-tide weight is zero unless it earns lift after confounders. Lunar phase is not assumed to cause leaks.
  4. Maintenance dispatch is demand-first. Sales opportunity does not delay a qualified available technician.
  5. Extreme-event weather widens uncertainty and uses an event-specific mix instead of multiplying normal demand.

Updated governing rules (§27)

Reality is the next starting state. Preserve Planned, Actual, Counterfactual, and Override/Recalibration. Already-booked customers have precedence. Humans retain authority everywhere. Optimize quality, competence, fit, geography, inventory, runtime, expected fixed profit, and margin together. Use controlled exploration. Use media with notes, parts, timing, and outcomes — not media alone. One canonical live state. Performance windows: 1 week, 30 / 60 / 90 days, 6 months. Weather, demand, inventory, pricebook, and maintenance scheduling feed one another; all shadow recommendations remain reconstructable.
